Biography
Elly Hendrix (born 1978, Zadar, Croatia) is an internationally artist currently based in Vienna.
Because of the narrative that she instills in her paintings, Elly has been described as a Visual Storyteller.
Work
Elly likes to work in layers that build up our perceptions, like society and life in general.
Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.
The work establishes a link between reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence.
